Goodwill’s Macleod Trail Store and Donation Centre Celebrates Grand Re-Opening
On Saturday, October 19, Goodwill Industries of Alberta will celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of our Macleod Trail Store and Donation Centre in Calgary, at 10426 Macleod Trail SE, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The official re-opening will include a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 9:00 a.m., a 50% off door crasher event, lunch-time barbeque, discount draws, and in-store specials.
“We’re excited to be able to offer a better customer experience for our Goodwill supporters!” says Dale Monaghan, Goodwill President and CEO.
Goodwill Industries of Alberta is a social enterprise providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enhance their lives through meaningful employment. Donations are sold in our retail stores to support employment programs and services.
“We’re one of the largest employers of persons with disabilities in western Canada and it is through the generosity of those who donate clothing and other gently-used household items that we are able to achieve this employment achievement,” says Monaghan.
“On top of that proceeds from Goodwill retail sales stay in Alberta and go back to helping people with disabilities find employment.”
In 2012, we received more than 500,000 donations from the generosity of Albertans.
