 The Opportunity:

The HR Analyst Summer Student conducting HR Audits for the organization, as well as developing a comprehensive HR Auditing guide to be used by the organization. The student will also provide support to the HR and Payroll departments in all key functional as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the VP, Human Services, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Researching trends in HR Best Practices and HR Legal Practices surrounding HR audits.
  • Identifying and analyzing current gaps within the organization surrounding HR practices.
  • Reporting findings to HR team and Senior Leaders, and recommending areas and strategies for improvement.
  • Developing an HR Auditing guide to be used by the organization.
  • Conducting site HR audits and tracking findings.
  • Assisting in development and implementation of the organization’s Annual Review process.
  • Assisting with HR reporting, including HR metrics analysis and dissemination.

 Successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary Education in Human Resources Management, returning to school in Fall 2018
  • Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • World-class customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
  • May require travel to various sites across Alberta, access to a personal vehicle is preferred
