Goodwill Celebrates Spruce Grove Store Grand Opening

On Saturday, October 26, Goodwill Industries of Alberta will celebrate the Grand Opening of our Spruce Grove Store at 98 McLeod Avenue, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The official opening will include a 50% off door crasher event, lunch-time barbeque, discount draws, and in-store specials.

“We have received many donations from the generous residents of the Tri-region area, and we are thrilled to now be opening our new Spruce Grove store,” states Dale Monaghan, Goodwill CEO and President.

Since June 2008, we have had a donation centre located at 98 McLeod Avenue, in Spruce Grove (on the east side of Safeway). We’re now expanding part of the building into a retail operation.

Goodwill Industries of Alberta is a social enterprise providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enhance their lives through meaningful employment. Donations received from the generosity of Albertans are sold in our 12 retail stores across Alberta to support employment programs and services.

“We’re one of the largest employers of persons with disabilities in western Canada and it is through the generosity of those who donate clothing and other gently-used household items that we are able to achieve this level of influence,” says Monaghan.

“On top of that proceeds from Goodwill retail sales stay in Alberta and go back to helping people with disabilities find employment.”
