The Job:

Are you our next Pamphlet Courier Supervisor? Reporting to the Goodwill@WORK Manager, the next Pamphlet Courier Supervisor primarily works remotely at outdoor locations within the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas, working to deliver promotional pamphlets to homes for contract partners acquired through the Goodwill@WORK program. Pamphlet Courier Supervisor will spend several hours during their work shift moving around on their feet, and are expected to maintain positive, safe, fun team-oriented relationships, while communicating effectively with others.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering promotional pamphlets to homes by hanging flyers on doorknobs
  • Walking through neighborhoods and along busy streets to reach all homes
  • Planning delivery routes and communicating routes and job tasks to team members
  • Driving team members from a central meeting location to remote work locations
  • Supervising team members and ensuring team is set up to be safe and successful
  • Spending multiple consecutive hours during the day on foot and walking long distances
  • Working outdoors in all conditions, including heat, rain, and snow
  • Keeping work areas organized and clean
  • Communicating to community members the purpose of Goodwill and this project
  • Participating in any training or meeting function as requested by Goodwill
  • Demonstrate commitment to the establishment of accessible, healthy and safe facilities by modeling protocol and participating in all existing programs.
  • Understand and adhere to Goodwill Health and Safety policies, safe work practices and procedures.
  • Holding oneself and fellow Team Members accountable in their roles and for their contributions to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
  • Continuously looking to improve oneself and the organization in any aspect including but not limited to processes, communications, tasks and customer experience.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table:

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have an Class 5 license (non-GDL) and be able to provide a clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (including weekend and evenings).
  • As this position requires delivering of material and significant walking, must be able to regularly lift in excess of 10 kilograms (22 pounds) and perform physical work on a continual basis.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Responsible for own transportation to and from work.
  • You deliver amazing customer service by going above and beyond for all Goodwill customers.
  • You demonstrate teamwork and engage fellow Team Members in contributing to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
  • You have an open and honest attitude while making moral decisions.
  • You contribute to a welcoming & accepting work environment by showing respect at all times.
  • You hold yourself and fellow Team Members accountable in their roles and for their contributions to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
  • You continuously look to improve yourself and the organization in any aspect including but not limited to processes, communications, tasks and customer experience.
  • You prioritize safety in all tasks, ensuring safety of self as well as fellow Team Members.
