The Job:
Are you our next IT Analyst? Reporting to the IT Team Lead, IT Analyst will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to Goodwill staff at all locations. Working alongside our MSP (Managed Service Provider), in-house IT Analyst will ensure timely resolution of PC deployments and related issues, ensure all tech assets are well managed at each site, assist with preventative maintenance/checks, assist with projects, and continually contribute to documentation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in the planning, documentation, and implementation of various systems.
- Assist team members with various day-to-day issues that arise.
- Train users on current software and tech assets as required.
- Track incidents and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Track and analyze tickets that arise, and implement resolution that prevents these issues to persist
- Assist with urgent IT issues which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
- Maintain the integrity of desktop and laptop computers through upgrades, support and new technology.
- Perform on-site and remote technical support.
- Manage daily relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure that end user and organizational needs are met.
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors, relevant stakeholders, and our MSP.
- Work closely with leadership team and provide advice of shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Administer and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, alarm systems, access-control, time, and telephony systems
- Maintaining and creating documentation consisting of, but not limited to, the following: user manuals, process guides, technical guides, etc.
- Create and manage AD end user accounts
- Support of the corporate mobility program required – both Android and iPhones
- Expectation of travel within Calgary region primarily as well as, more infrequently, throughout Alberta.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems, software configuration, troubleshooting and user support.
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Helpdesk and deskside experience supporting end users
- Demonstrated experience managing and working with the following technologies: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Exchange 365, Office 365, Microsoft Authenticator
- Experience with telephone and video conferencing equipment is an asset.
- Experience with networking, SQL Database, Windows Server is an asset.
- CompTIA A+ Certification is an asset
- Must have valid Class 5 or higher driver’s license and reliable vehicle (will be compensated for use of personal vehicle for work. For specific trips, a company vehicle may be provided).
- Must be willing to travel to remote sites within Alberta, including outside of normal business hours.
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Consultative skills to work effectively with management and staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (English fluency).
- Problem solving skills to define problem and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience with telephone and video conferencing equipment is an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must pass a criminal record check.
