For Once In My Life Movie Debut at Edmonton International Film Festival

On September 26 and 27, the Edmonton International Film Festival will be screening a very special film documenting a 28 person band made up of participants for the Goodwill of Southern Florida employment programs.

Western Canada Premiere! For Once in my Life is the incredible, inspirational true story about a band of singers and musicians who are all faced with a wide range of mental and physical disabilities.  This SXSW 2010 Audience Award Winning documentary is an all-access look at this amazing group of people – all of whom share one common dream: to make great music. Throughout it all, we are given a glimpse into their struggles and triumphs, and the challenges they each face on the way to becoming true musicians, performing to large – and very enthusiastic - audiences. With passionate concert footage and intimate behind-the-scenes glimpses into the band member's lives, the film paints a heart-warming portrait of what people with disabilities can do when given a chance. Discover the film that has made audiences everywhere stand up and cheer.

Goodwill Industries of Alberta is proud to be associated with this film and will be at each screening.  Please view the trailer and see times and locations at the Edmonton Film Festival.
